Parent's Weekend
Beta Sigma Psi also holds a Dad’s Weekend taking place in the fall semester and a Mom’s Weekend in the spring semester.
Events for the weekend usually include bowling, trap shooting, putt-putt golfing or the local k-state football or basketball game. For the mom’s weekend, events are quite
similar although the mom’s club usually meets early in the morning and a formal luncheon follows.
Intramural Sports
Sports are major events during your high school years. Fraternity life can help keep your competitive nature going. Through fraternity leagues, Beta Sigma Psi competes in
flag football,
basketball, volleyball, softball, and soccer to name a few. There are also individual
sports that members can play in as well.
All games are head to head giving members the chance to relive those memories during your high school years. Whether it is on the field or the court, Beta Sigs always compete
and exemplify good sportsmanship.
Most events take place at the Chester E. Peters Recreation Complex. This multi-million dollar facility has everything you would ever want from weight lifting to ping pong. If
intramurals isn’t for you, many of our members routinely visit the “rec” to play a late night pick up game of basketball or to weight-lift.
Community Service

One of the One of the basic principles of fraternity life is the incorporation of community service. As the community of Manhattan has provided much support and benefits to the greek
community, Beta Sigma Psi strives to give back for what we have received.
Community service can be in any form. Although there is no rule to the number of community service projects each member must particpate in, many members go out of their
way everyday to give back to the community. Whether it be shoveling snow for our neighbors or visiting the elderly, all of our members actively help provide support and promote
our greek and Manhattan community.
Homecoming
Homecoming was originally developed for alumni of both Kansas State University and Fraternities. Homecoming week intends to incorporate alumni in hopes for travel back to
their alma mater.
During homecoming, fraternities are paired with sororities for festivities and events. These events include: float building, pomping, pant the chant, paint the ‘ville, various
social functions, wildcat request live and many others. At the conclusion of the week, all of the floats are pulled down Poyntz and a winner for the week is announced.
These events promote the highest ideals of fraternity life and incorporate community service to help Manhattan and the college.
