Kansas State Concert Band

Mr. Don Linn, Conductor

"Concert Band is wonderful because it gives non-music majors like myself an opportunity to continue something I loved to do in high school, but at an advanced level. I auditioned because I love music, but I have stayed because of the challenge and the pride I take in what I do."
Anastasia Place
Junior, Animal Sciences and Industry, Pre-Vet
Principal Clarinet

The Concert Band, directed by Mr. Don Linn, performs some of the finest literature written for concert bands. Students are exposed to traditional "core" literature and some of the finest new music for concert band. Both the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band have been featured as performing ensembles at the Kansas Music Educators Association Conventions in Wichita, Kansas, and also provide valuable podium time for graduate teaching assistants in the Music Education/Wind Conducting Masters Degree program.
