Mistnetting at Estes Draw - Sunday, July 23, 2000


This banding station always has lots of Grey Catbirds, and today was no exception. We mistnetted 49 birds, of which 40 were Grey Catbirds. 18 of the 49 were recaptures (previously banded birds); of these 16 were Grey Catbirds. Here are some catbirds in the hands of expert bird-banders Hooghy Hoogheem and Jethro Runco.


And here is a Common Yellowthroat in the hands of my daughter Ellen.
