Tragedy struck our brotherhood in the early hours of August 27th 2004, when fire swept through the University of Mississippi ATO Chapter House, killing three brothers and leaving another twenty homeless and shaken. This unfortunate event occurred on the first week of school, placing the Delta Psi Chapter in a terrible situation. Seeing this devastation, the Ole' Miss Student Body, along with many other organizations, offered much aid and emotional support. This assistance to our brothers in their time of need is greatly appreciated, and our entire brotherhood, here at the Delta Theta Chapter, would like to express our deep and sincere remorse for the devastating losses that the Delta Psi Chapter has experienced. We also send our thoughts and prayers out to friends and family of the three victims lost in this tragic accident. Brothers Howard Stone, William Townsend and Jordan Williams will be remembered and respected by all fellow brothers.
