On October 15, 2005, the Delta Theta Chapter celebrated the 85th anniversary of its founding. The 85th Anniversary Celebration Banquet was held at the Alumni Center on the Kansas State University campus. The banquet was opened by Master of Ceremonies Larry Long, who invited representatives of the four chapter corporations to make a few remarks. The four representatives were Brother Michael Ribble, Alumni Association President, Brother Joshua Ault, Chapter President, and Brother Bill Muir, Building Corporation Secretary and Students’ Aid Endowment Fund President.
After dinner, a video about the Delta Theta Chapter’s 85-year tradition of excellence was shown. This was followed by a State of the Community Address by Director of Greek Affairs Scott Jones and by a Keynote Address by Chapter Advisor and National Secretary Bill Muir. After his speech, Brother Muir surprised Brother Henry (Hank) Kupfer with a Life Loyal Tau membership for his service to the Chapter. The Chapter in turn surprised Brother Muir with a special video presentation in honor of him being the Chapter’s advisor for 35 years. Chapter President Joshua Ault presented Brother Muir with a plaque to commemorate the occasion. Brother Peter Hinkle, current Alumni Relations Chairman, closed the event with a toast to Alpha Tau Omega.
