Information on Survey Administration, Sample, and Response Rate
- The Senior Survey is designed to give undergraduate students the opportunity to reflect upon their K-State experiences. This information is used to improve the college experience for future students by identifying strengths in our programs as well as areas that need further development.
- The survey was offered electronically to students who had been cleared for graduation by their respective colleges
- In 2007 - 2008, the Office of Assessment offered the Senior Survey to 3,039 graduating seniors, 2,200 seniors took part in the survey
- The university response rate for fall graduates was 71% (733 out of 1,036 participated in the survey), and 73% (1,467 out of 2,003 participated in the survey) for spring, for an overall response rate of 72% for the 2007 - 2008 academic year. (Note: 13% of respondents completed only part of the survey; all of their responses are included in the results)
- The Fall 2007 Senior Survey did not include "Military" or "Starting or Raising a Family" response categories for the question relating to future plans after graduation. We added these categories based on the VSA template for the Spring 2008 Senior Survey.
