University Assessment Facilitators Committee
Charge
The charge of the Assessment Facilitators Committee is to build the university's capacity to effectively assess student learning within a culture of continuous educational improvement.
Descriptors for the work of committee members: encourager, sustainer, advocate, supporter, capacity builder.
Members will:
- Gain a university-wide perspective on the Assessment of Student Learning picture within which to view the work in their own academic colleges and student affairs units.
- Function as a conduit between the Provost offices and the college/unit assessment committees to share information on Assessment of Student Learning at K-State.
- Communicate expectations, information, etc. to academic colleges and student affairs units from the Provost office.
- Communicate questions, concerns, needs from the academic colleges and student affairs units to the Provost office.
- Share ideas about effective approaches to Assessment of Student Learning that are being used across all facets of the university.
- Seek counsel from university committee members about specific issues in their own academic colleges and student affairs units and return the advice/assistance back to their colleges/units.
