Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of Civil Engineering is to create an environment that prepares our graduates for a professional career in civil engineering by providing:
- excellence in classroom instruction, and an educational environment that prepares our students for a professional career in civil engineering;
- enrichment of the academic and professional experience of students and faculty;
- outreach to the engineering community; and
- advancements in civil infrastructure development and preservation.
