Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of Finance is to create a high quality
learning environment for those interested in the practice of business
management in general, and those interested in financial decision
making in particular. In striving to achieve its goals, the department seeks to:
- provide students with learning opportunities, both inside and outside of
the classroom setting, that reflects the current state of knowledge and
practice within the field;
- continually enhance the academic and the professional stature of the
department's program;
- maintain a scholastic climate that will attract and retain a high quality
faculty;
- contribute to the knowledge and the leadership of the financial
community.
