The college's mission is to provide an international learning community of educators and students committed to discovering, developing and disseminating knowledge and creative skills to disciplines related to the built environment, and to the larger public.
Each program in the College of Architecture, Planning and Design is accredited: Architecture by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB); Interior Architecture by the Foundation for Interior Education and Research (FIDER); and Landscape Architecture by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB). These disciplinary accrediting organizations have had substantial influence on the assessment activities in the College of Architecture, Planning and Design. Each program has strategic goals and engages in multiple assessment activities.
