Nancy Habluetzel

Background

I am a native Kansan, having grown up in near-by Clay Center.

Education

In 1964-1965 I attended what was then Emporia State Teachers' College for one year. I became a non- traditional student at Kansas State University in the 1990's, earning a BS degree in Social Science, with a Psychology and Personality Development theme.

First Impressions of Manhattan

Although I don't recall my first impression of Manhattan, I can say I love this community and its people. Each time I approach our town, especially from the north or south, I am struck by its beauty.

Favorite Pastime

I thoroughly enjoy being involved with my family and friends, whatever the activity. I especially like sporting events, social gatherings, walking our dog, and reading good books.

On Academic Advising

As a student, I appreciated interacting with and learning from other students. As an academic advisor, I feel privileged to work in partnership with Open Option advisees as they decide among the many major/career opportunities available to them at KSU.

Interesting Fact

My youngest daughter and I graduated from Kansas State University on the same day.
