Undergraduate: Illustration

Illustration is a subject with a broad range of applications: Illustrations, Illuminate books, magazines, annual reports, web sites, packaging, etc. This discipline can be described as the development and creation of pictorial imagery that can illuminate, decorate, or complement text and ideas. The study of illustration includes many of the traditional studio arts as its foundation.

Today, we see new tools, such as the computer, having an import on this discipline. This concentration will focus on teaching students the basic and advanced concepts in the field of illustration. It will merge the fine art studio courses with illustration studio to provide an expanded visual language. In addition the student will understand the market for his/her work and how to establish the frame work for a viable business.
