Illustration
is a subject with a broad range of applications: Illustrations,
Illuminate books, magazines, annual reports, web sites,
packaging, etc. This discipline can be described as
the development and creation of pictorial imagery that
can illuminate, decorate, or complement text and ideas.
The study of illustration includes many of the traditional
studio arts as its foundation.
Today,
we see new tools, such as the computer, having an import
on this discipline. This concentration will focus on
teaching students the basic and advanced concepts in
the field of illustration. It will merge the fine art
studio courses with illustration studio to provide an
expanded visual language. In addition the student will
understand the market for his/her work and how to establish
the frame work for a viable business.
