Undergraduate Illustration [Imaging]


Examining the evolution

Technology has not only created a distinct paradigm for image-makers, it has also unlocked many new dynamic opportunities in the studio arts. Electronic/digital media has opened the door for the emergence of new possibilities in expression and communication.

Likewise, illustration is no longer solely defined by print or by producing elements with traditional tools. The study of Illustration dynamically merges fine art studio courses with core illustration and electric imaging studios to provide an expanded visual language.

The usage of digital media has empowered artists, illustrators and designers interested in inventive clarity to be able to experiment and explore with ideas infinitely.

As a result of these advances and influences, the Department of Art has established a framework for the meaningful understanding of this powerful medium. The Imaging curriculum encourages both imaginative and interpretative experimentation and exploration of art + design and technology.
