News/Robert Grame
Robert
Grame received his BFA(1992) and MFA(1996) Degrees
in Graphic Design/Visual Communications at Kansas State
University. Since leaving K-State as Visiting Assistant
Professor in 1999 he is currently the Assistant Professor
of Graphic Design at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
There he has worked with clients like the National Council
on Clay Education for the Ceramic Arts(NCECA), University
of Wyoming
Department of Theatre & Dance and International
Studies Program along with University Public Relations,
Habitat for Humanity of Albany County, Jentel Artist
Residency Program and the US Army. Robert has also taken
runner up in the Adobe Millennial Design Contest and
is currently showing work both nationally and internationally.
Last October he participated in the Icograda Millennium
Congress on Design in Seoul, Korea. In his first year
at the University of Wyoming, he completely rewrote
and revitalized the graphic design program, modeling
it off of the success of the program at Kansas State
University. This fall through the generosity of the
Office of Academic Affairs and The College of Arts and
Sciences and the hard work of the Department of Art
and Robert Grame, a dynamic new Graphic Design/Visual
Communications studio/lab/presentation facility will
open in the fine arts building at the University of
Wyoming.
In December 1999 Robert and his wife Christi (BFA
1993) welcomed their second child, a daughter, into
their family.
