TONDO LXV by Anna Calluori Holcombe

Anna Calluori Holcombe
TONDO LXV
16" diameter
Earthenware clay, lowfire glazes

With this piece, I continue to work on the TONDO series. I have made a chang in the tye of glaze I used to finish the piece. The glaze is reminiscent of the one found in Tang Dynasty Chinese ceramics as well as in pre-majolica ceramics from Italy. The influence of my travel to both these countries is evident. Through this glaze, I hope to illustrate the links found in ceramics through the ages.
