I delight in observing letterforms in motion making transitions of various intensities. Commercial film credits are a wonderful source for visual interaction with type/letterforms. I continue to think of letterforms primarily as form set in a visual field. The figure ground relationship is fundamental to aesthetic decision making. I admire the art direction of Fred Woodward especially projects produced in the early to mid 1990s.
