Robert
Hower received his Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook
Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and his Bachelor
of Fine Arts from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Recently,
Professor Hower was a visiting lecturer/faculty at The
Norwich School of Art and Design, (Norwich, England)
and was a visiting Artist at The Glasgow School of Art,
Scotland , Jordanstone School of Art-University of Dundee
in Scotland and Fachhochschule Trier, Germany.
Honors
include: Stamey Teaching Award - Kansas State University
1994, 1999, National Park Foundation/Leadership/Partnership
Awards - 1994, 1996, and selected Phi Kappa Phi Honor
Society.
Robert
Hower has exhibited his work in numerous international,
national, and one-person exhibitions. Including work
at the Minnesota Museum of Art, Joslyn Art Museum, Leedy-Voulkos
Gallery, KC, Houston Center for Photography, and The
Sheldon-University of Nebraska. Recently Hower had one-person
exhibitions at the Lu Xun College of Fine Arts, Shenyang,
China, Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow Scotland and Fachhochschule
Trier, Germany.
Professor
Hower, has worked on numerous national design activities
that include the following organizations and companies:
U.S. National Park Service, The Nature Conservancy,
The Marianna Kistler Beach Museum, The Coleman Company,
The Chase Manhattan Bank, Cox Communications, Warner-Ishee,
U.S. Army, Warner Brothers, University of Nebraska Lincoln,
San Diego State University, Viewmart Inc. Minneapolis,
The Avalon Group/The Mesa Verde Museum Association and
The Kansas State University Physics Education Group
- National Science Foundation.
Presentations
and Interactive projects presented include: Videotex
National Conference, NYC (Videotex User Interface),
Alliances IV-National Parks Conference, Denver (New
Technology/Design), Media World Conference 94-ED. Media,
