ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I draw from my own experience of what it feels like to be human. I am an artist fascinated by life, and because I know life is short, I work with intensity and passion to create work which can be appreciated for its intrinsic beauty and emotional impact.
In my prints and drawings I balance an imaginative quest for self-discovery with a sincere appreciation for tradition. Making art and making love are two of my favorite things to do. I strive to depict the intense nature of these and other physically simple but emotionally complex human activities, in my current body of work.
