Professor of Military Science, Kansas State University, Manhattan
Kansas: (July 2000 - Present).
· Deputy Division Operations Officer, 24th Infantry Division
(Mechanized) and Fort Riley, Kansas (December 1999- July 2000).
Responsible for the coordination of all installation plans,
operations and training for the 24th Infantry Division, two
stand-alone Armor Brigades and one Engineer Group.
· Brigade Operations Officer, 1st BCT, 1st Infantry Division
(Mechanized), Fort Riley, Kansas (December 1998 - December 1999).
Responsible for preparing, coordinating and synchronizing combat
arms training and tactical employment of an Armor Brigade Combat
Team.
· Armor Battalion Operations Officer and Executive Officer, 1st
Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, Fort Riley, Kansas (June 1997 -
December 1998). Responsible for planning, operating and training of
an Armor Battalion Task Force. Supervised all logistical and
administrative efforts. Served as second -in-command and chief of
the battalion staff.
· Special Assistant to Commanding General, U.S. Army Armor Center
and Fort Knox, Kentucky (June 1996 - June 1997). Responsible for
assisting the Commanding General developing policy and programs
governing the future of the mounted force. Served as chief of
initiatives group. Integrated actions directly with CG, TRADOC and
CSA.
· Instructor/ Doctrine Developer-Writer, U.S. Army Armor Center and
Fort Knox, Kentucky (September 1993 - June 1996). Responsible for
the development, staffing and approval of revised tactical doctrine
and procedures resulting from the integration of digital command and
control within mechanized units platoon through brigade. Provided
instruction on armor tactics, techniques and procedures to students
enrolled in 5 courses of instruction at the Armor Center.
· Combat Trainer/Observer-Controller, Operations Group, U.S. National
Training Center (NTC), Fort Irwin, California (July 1991 - September
1993). Responsible for effective combat training of mechanized units
undergoing collective training at the National Training Center. Provides
coaching and performance feedback data to participants. Conducts After-Action
Reviews in a field setting.
· Tank Company Commander, 2d Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment,
Friedberg, Germany (October 1989 - July 1991). Trained, led and
sustained an Armor Company Team during combat operations in
Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Performed post-conflict
operations upon cessation of hostilities along Kuwaiti-Iraqi buffer
zone. Re-deployed unit to European Theater of Operations.
