Bros Dominick James, Emmett Smith, and Abdul Yahaya hold it down at the Fall 2005 K-State Activities Carnival

Kappa Tau represents at the Black Student Union's Annual Welcome Back Celebration!!

As always, we send much love out to the rest of the K-State Yard!! From the looks of things, BSU is in for a great year!!
We didn't want to go much further into the year without recognizing several brothers for the work they do with low income and/or first generation high school students over the summers here in Manhattan and abroad. Between bros Pat Agwu, Rickey Frierson, Bryon Williams, Emmett Smith, Brandon Clark, Abdul Yahaya, Jason Brooks and Paris Rossiter, they worked with the Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math Science, Salvation Army Day Camp, and First Tee programs helping over two hundred youth by providing tutoring, mentorship, and building life skills. This work is certainly worth mentioning! We encourage others to GET INVOLVED and NEVER forget about the youth who are watching our every move. You may be a role model without even having a clue!
To Those Who We Lost & Those Who Survived Hurricane Katrina

Our prayers are with you all...

Men, women, and children young and old!!
MAY GOD BLESS those selfless individuals who showed up to lend a helping hand, a roll of toilet paper, some toothpaste, or a financial donation!! During times of crisis and despair everyone shares the responsibility of giving relief to our displaced brothers and sisters. The above photos were found on the following website: http://www.nola.com/katrinaphotos/

Above, bro Abdul Yahaya presents a check on behalf of the Big XII Council on Black Student Government to the American Red Cross. Black Student Unions at 10 Big XII schools held candlelight vigil ceremonies to raise funds. 100% of the proceeds and donations raised were given on September 24, 2005 to assist with relief efforts. Bro Yahaya serves as chair for the Big XII Council.
