Above we see Bro President Abdul Yahaya (center) linked up with Dr Myra Gordon (left), Associate Provost for Diversity at K-State, and Bro Dominick James (right) as they lead a march commemorating Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. Alpha holds an annual Memorial Walk and Candlelight Vigil during MLK Week to honor our fallen brother's dream.

We are pleased to say that this year's event was well attended. We would also like to thank Rev. Don Fallon, pictured above, for his continued support of this event.

We would also like to thank our current Miss Black and Gold, Miss Latoya Loren, for her presence and her assistance.
As Miss Black and Gold, Miss Loren assists us with programming and community service

Thank you for all you do for us Miss Black and Gold!!

K-State's Gospel Choir, the United Black Voices, rendered two spirit-filled selections

The lovely and talented Miss Tonya Phillips performed a wonderful praise dance

Bro Robert Page is the Director of the Office of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Kansas. He shared very valuable insight as to his own past and what Dr. King's dream meant to him, as well as what we should all be doing to keep the fires burning. It was truly a blessing to have him as a keynote speaker!

Following his remarks, we moved on to the candle-lighting ceremony

Thanks to everyone who came out and we hope that you left with something you didn't have upon arrival!
