Martin Luther King, Jr March & Candlelight Vigil

The photo above was taken by the Collegian at 2007's MLK Vigil

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Walk and Candlelight Vigil is a program that the Kappa Tau Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. hosts annually to commemorate the contributions of one our dear fallen Brothers.  The program takes place during MLK Observance Week and begins with a solemn Memorial Walk from several locations on campus.

In 2007, Kansas State University made a commitment to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr by installing a commemorative bust and securing land to create a "Coretta Scott King Garden of Engagement", becoming one of very few institutions of higher education in the United States to do so.  We are honored to be a part of that initiative and give our sincere thanks to every administrator, student leader, artist, community activist, and volunteer who put their effort towards making this dream a reality at KSU.  Below is a link to some photos from the MLK Memorial March and Bust Installation.
