
The ladies demonstrated their grace and confidence during the swimwear portion of the pageant!


During the intermission, the Chapter Step Team took the stage and brought the house down (as if the ladies needed any help doing that)!
Bros David Griffin, Jr (left) and Pat Agwu have it written all over their face....you don't have to say a word, bros!

The KT Step Team definitely brought their "A-Game", but getting back to the ladies....

The next stage of the competition was "Evening Wear". Cynthia Tamboue (left) and Shakera Hickman (right) were stunning and graceful
Monica Kennedy (left) and Brittany Foster (right) also exuded confidence and elegance...

One of the greatest Miss Black and Gold Pageants had come down to just one category...

QUESTION AND ANSWER!! Here is Jasmine Smith receiving her question and Kim Agwu giving her answer

So after a grueling Question and Answer competition, the judges had picked their winners....
Miss Amber Tyler won the titles "Miss Souvenir Book" and "Miss
GPA"!! Shakera Hickman took home the "Miss Career" title and Brittany Foster earned "Miss Swimwear".
Monica Kennedy won the "Miss Sisterhood" title
and Amber Stokes was chosen as Miss Elegance. For the second year running,
Miss Jasmine Smith took home the title of "Miss Diligence".
Miss Deborah Muhwezi won
the "Miss Talent" title and was crowned as the 2006-07 "Miss Black", the 2nd
Runner Up. LaKrystal McKnight was crowned "Miss Gold", the 1st Runner Up.
And at the end of the night, the
one young lady who impressed our judges the most was Miss Amber Tyler of Omaha,
Nebraska! Amber serve as an ex-officio member of our community service
committee, helping us throughout the year with programming and various other
duties. She will also go on to compete in the Regional Miss Black and Gold
Pageant in April of 2007
