ALIANZA ("alliance" in Spanish) is K-State Alliance for Hispanic/Latino Faculty and Staff. The organization was created in 1998 by a group of faculty and unclassified staff including Alberto Broce, Anita Cortez, Doug Benson, Vince Ortiz, Gabriela Sabates, Rebeca Paz, Marcelo Sabates, Rolando Flores, Lori Navarrete among others. Our purpose is to advocate for the advancement of Hispanic/Latino population on campus and to help enrich diversity at KSU. We believe that given the demographic changes in our state and nation, our advocacy and initiatives are particularly urgent with respect to Hispanic/Latino students .
