Environmental Health & Safety
The management of K-State Research and Extension and the College of Agriculture is committed to providing a safe working and learning environment for our faculty, staff, students and program participants. We deliver these services through an environmental health and safety management system (EHSMS), designed to assist us identify and manage risk through a continual improvement process.
The Environmental Health & Safety Office is responsible for developing health, safety and environmental programs for employees, students, and participants in K-State Research and Extension and the College of Agriculture, and verifying their effectiveness in reducing risk. We can assist you make your workplace or classroom safer with our services such as safety and environmental training, ergonomic workstation analysis, laboratory/field EH&S consultations, equipment/facility safety assistance, chemical/hazardous waste management, environmental permitting, control of excessive noise levels, ventilation/indoor air quality assistance, etc. More information about the services we provide is available at EHSMS Services.
