OVERVIEW:
- A Pre-Symposium Workshop on Navigating NCBI's Resources for Insect Genomics is scheduled for Thursday, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m..
- The symposium will begin Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. with an opening keynote presentation and welcome reception. Friday and Saturday will include talks by featured speakers, abstract presentations and two poster sessions.
- Organism meetings are scheduled for Friday afternoon/evening, beginning at 5:15 pm.
- Representatives from funding agencies will make presentations and answer questions at a panel discussion on Saturday morning.
- A Workshop/Seminar on MAKER: Genome Annotation Made Easy will be held Saturday morning, 10:00 to 11:30 am.
- The talks will conclude Saturday at 5:00 pm.
- An optional banquet at the BRIO Tuscan Grille on the Plaza is planned for Saturday night.
- On Sunday morning, you are invited to participate in a roundtable discussion led by members of the Arthropod Base Consortium regarding the generation of integrated arthropod genomce databases, tools for genome analysis, and community annotation. The meeting will conclude Sunday at noon.
