Career Advancement Program (CAP)

The Career Advancement Program (CAP) for tenured women faculty in engineering and science advances women in mid-career, senior rank, and in leadership positions. This program is designed to enhance networking opportunities, research expertise and stature, and development of leadership skills. Four awards of $20,000 each is available annually through a competitive proposal process. Recipients of this award collaborate with a mentor for advice on critical mid-career topics, e.g., promotion to full professorship, assumption of administrative responsibilities, and negotiation of appropriate release time for increased duties.
