About Adult Student Services

We pride ourselves in being your “one-stop shop” on campus, providing you the opportunity and resources to address any questions and/or concerns you may have about being an adult nontraditional student at K-State. We are committed to supporting and encouraging your higher education journey. We can connect you not only to the campus, but to the surrounding community. We value and appreciate the skills, talent, and knowledge that you bring to K-State.

You are considered a K-State adult nontraditional student, if you meet just one of the following criteria:

  • 25 years of age or older
  • Married
  • A parent
  • Returning to school after an absence (usually 3 or more years)

We can provide you with useful information in the following areas:

General student information
Free tutoring
Scholarships and funding questions
Child care services
Student emergency locator
Campus referrals
Student health insurance
Networking with peers
Student advocacy
Housing and consumer and tenant affairs information
Alternative credit opportunities
Military and Families

You are one of many

As a nontraditional student, you are part of a growing population of students at K-State. Currently 23.4% (undergraduate and graduate) of K-Staters are adult nontraditional students (Spring 2007).

If you have questions, needs, or concerns that do not fit into one of the above categories, let us know. Stop by, call, or e-mail. We will gladly assist you. Drop by our Brown Bag Luncheons (Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11 to 1pm, K-State Student Union Stateroom 1, 2, or 3) to talk with our staff and other nontraditional students.
