Activities

Homecoming has been an important tradition of the non-Greek and Greek organizations alike. During Greek Week, which is held in the spring, pairings for homecoming are announced for the following fall semester. Some of the events chapters compete in include the Float Competition, Yard Art, Wildcat Request Live, Pant The Chant, Paint The Ville, and more. Not only is this a fun week for ADPis, but it is a time to meet new people, and it also provides us the opportunity to meet other fraternity and sorority members.

We have three date parties each semester, including a formal dance. Before winter break, we hold our annual Black Diamond Formal. All of our date parties have themes of all different types. In the spring we have a semi-formal date party. These are great occasions to re-use those pretty dresses from our high school dances or proms.

In addition to our date parties, we also plan functions with different fraternities and sororities. These can be anything from doing activities to benefit our philanthropies, learning to ballroom dance, or doing a cookout together. Each function is different and is a great way to meet new people in the Greek chapters.

During the fall semester we have Dad's weekend and Family Day. In the spring semester ADPi celebrates Mom's weekend and Best Friends and Siblings weekend. This is a great chance for the girls to show our families and friends the fun we have at K-State.

Alpha Delta Pi's national philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House. Our chapter takes part in various activities each year to help raise money and awareness for this charity. Each spring we host a softball tournament called Softball Classic in which our members act as coaches for different groups that have signed up as teams. In addition to Softball Classic, we collect tabs from aluminum cans and donate them to the Ronald McDonald House. We also have our women visit Ronald McDonald houses in our area.
