Homecoming has been an important tradition of the non-Greek and Greek organizations alike. During Greek Week, which is held in the spring, pairings are announced for the following fall semester. Some of the events houses compete in include the float competition, Yard Art, Wildcat Request Live, Pant the Chant, Paint the Ville, and more. Not only is this a fun week for ADPis, but it is a time to meet new people, and it also provides us the opportunity to meet other fraternity and sorority members. KSU Homecoming week is an excellent time to strengthen Greek unity across campus.
We have three date parties each semester, including a formal dance. In spring semester, we hold our annual Black Diamond Formal. All of our date parties have themes of all different types. Born to be Wild, Alpha Delta Pi High (dress as you were in high school) and ADPi Hayride are a few examples of some of our previous date party themes. The seniors are also given the opportunity to plan the last date party of the year.
In addition to our date parties, we also plan a function and an exchange dinner each semester with different fraternities. During the fall semester we have Dad's weekend, and the spring is busy with Mom's weekend, and Best Friends and Siblings weekend. This is a great chance for us girls to show our families and friends the lives we have at K-State.
Greek Week is held every spring semester. Every evening our house will participate in many events with other Greek chapters. This is a great opportunity to promote Greek unity, and is also a great chance to spend time with other sorority and fraternity members.
