Additionally, at K-State, Alpha Delta Pi has been first in grades for sixteen of the last eighteen semesters. Being first in grades means that we have had the highest cumulative GPA among 12 other sororities with each time that we are recognized for this accomplishment. Alpha Delta Pi had an accumulative GPA in the Fall of 2012 of 3.54 and a new member accumulative GPA of 3. 51. We received the award for the highest GPA in Alpha Delta Pi's District 5 out of Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana.
In the Fall of 2012, Alpha Delta Pi partnered with Hands on K-State to host a "Hands on Community Service Week." Members served as site leaders who led various service activities throughout the week and 146 volunteers from both the K-State and Manhattan community worked together in service. This "Hands On Community Service Week" was a great way for Alpha Delta Pi members to connect and give back to their community.
Alpha Delta Pi also hosted an exciting new philanthropy in Spring 2013. Based off of the popular "Color Run," Alpha Delta Pi hosted a 5K race called the PowerCat Paint Run where runners were splattered with powdered paint! A total of 574 registered and over $8,900 was raised and given to Ronald McDonald Charities.
