Undergraduate Readmission Information

Definition

A readmission student is any student who has previously been admitted and attended K-State classes(since high school graduation):

on the Manhattan campus, or

on the Salina campus(College of Technology and Aviation) since Fall 1991.

Who should apply?

K-State graduates returning for or continuing further undergraduate work.
Former K-State students who have not been enrolled in on campus courses for one semester or more (excluding summer semester).

Note: Students who have never attended K-State as undergraduates(but have attended the graduate school) must file a new student application and pay the application fee.

When to apply?

Allow at least five working days to process the application. If you apply during the seven days before the first day of the class and meet the readmission criteria, you will enroll on or after the first day of class. You will be charged a $50 late enrollment fee. Application for readmission will not be accepted after classes begin for the semester.

You can apply for readmission to K-State electronically by submitting the application here. You may also contact the Office of Admissions here to receive a paper application for readmission.

Transcripts

Other colleges or universities attended since last enrolled at K-State must be reported. Official transcripts must be sent directly by mail or fax from the Registrars's office at the schools last attended to the Office of Admissions at K-State. Official transcripts are required even though the student enrolled and withdrew or received no credit.

Scholastic Deficiencies

Academic warning

Students who are on academic warning or have a K-State GPA less then 2.0 must re-enter the same curriculum in which last enrolled. If additional college work is being or has been earned, an admission decision is deferred until official transcripts are received.

Academic dismissal

Dismissed students will be readmitted only when approved for reinstatement by the Academic Standards Committee of the college the student wishes to enter.
Normally, students must wait at least two semesters before being considered for reinstatement. There is no guarantee of reinstatement even after waiting out the two required semesters.
Write or call your dean's office to request an application for reinstatement. Each K-State college establishes reinstatement schedules and procedures.
