Meet the Vice President - Elect

Rebekah VP ElectPlease welcome our new Vice President of KSU ACJA - Rebekah Esau! She was elected to serve on October 28, 2015 by unanimous consent. She will officially assume office on December 11, 2015 once the incumbent president steps down upon graduation. Previously, she served as President and Vice President for Zeta Rho Omega, a subordinate chapter of ACJA located in Johnson County Community College. She is now a Junior at K-State with a major in Criminology/Sociology. 

"I hope to assist the president this year in any reforms that he may have in mind to further the mission of KSU ACJA, and also look forward to making sure that the students are prepared for competition at the National Conference that will take place in March of 2016. 

Once officially assuming office, she will work with the Chapter President to improve retention efforts, continue the strong fund-raising driving force to have the funds needed for nationals among other duties assigned. 

As Chapter Vice President, Ms. Esau will be in charge of serving as the official representative of the Kappa Sigma Upsilon Chapter and preside during Cabinet meetings in the absence of the Chapter President. She will also assist the Chapter President in recruiting professional guest speakers, register newly installed members to the listserv; officially interpret the Constitution of the Kappa Sigma Upsilon Chapter, including Grand Chapter by-laws and standing rules of order; serve as the President's liaison when attending special and standing committee meetings; provide leadership and advise to officials (elected and appointed) of the chapter, chair impeachment trials when permitted by the constitution, among other duties as assigned by the President. She will also be charged with speaking to the media in the absence of the President; including interviews with K-State's 91.9 FM Wildcat Radio, K-State Collegian, among other media outlets.
