Geology

Geology, the science of Earth and other planets of the solar system, is concerned with understanding the materials and processes of Earth and comprehending the way these have interacted through time.  Geologists are involved in a wide range of activities, including studies of Earth materials and processes; exploration for energy, mineral, and water resources; understanding and protecting the environment; and examination of Earth’s moon and other planets.
