Authentication

Kansas State University supports two learning management systems for course content delivery, K-State Online and Blackboard.

K-State Online and Blackboard are designed to allow only students registered in a specific class into the web content of the class. As such, K-State Online and Blackboard courses and their content satisfy the authentication requirement of the TEACH Act.

Faculty must have a secure authentication technology in place to use the TEACH exemptions, and are reminded that it is solely their responsibility to implement effective authentication technology if they choose something other than K-State Online or Blackboard.
