Television Permissions Sources

Some basic information can be received by making a phone call to the local station, whether it is for local or national affiliate programs (ABC, F0X, etc.). A good place to start is with a good book location tool. However, an excellent Web site that has many resources is below:

ABC News Nightline (Washington, D.C.)

This site can be searched by topic and videos and transcripts can be ordered from it.

CBS News

The latest news and information on programs. At the time of this writing the site was undergoing reconstruction.

NBC News Archives

Searchable by topic, 70 years of news is available in quicktime or realvideo format.

Total Clearance, Inc.

Stock, archival, and news footage network for educational and professional use.

Cable

Cable in the Classroom - PBS Teacher Source

This site, which is searchable by keyword, subject or grade, also has an extensive video archive listed by title and volume, with PBS videos also available for sale.
