10 Big Myths about Copyright Explained

Brad Templeton, attorney and founder of ClariNet, on the Electronic Frontier Foundation board of directors, and the person credited with establishing the "dot" following Internet domain names, has put together a comprehensive list regarding copyright compliance and infringement, with an emphasis on the need to protect the commercial value of creative works. According to Mr. Templeton, his list is "an attempt to answer common myths about copyright seen on the net and cover issues related to copyright and USENET/ Internet publication."

Cable in the Classroom

Wonderful resource for finding and using cable programs for permission. Copyright law does not apply to cable programming. Features include several searchable sections on curriculum, lesson plans, cable companies, ect., and includes a magazine and e-mail alerts.

Great site for school librarians and teachers. It has a lesson plan for copyright, how to facilitate the copyright workshop, questions, a copyright exercise, and copyright references. The Curriculum Links section is useful and the Web links has a very good section on clip art Web sites for K-12 from her CyberBee column for Multimedia Schools.
