Sample Permission Letters

 

A permissions request letter is available in rich text format, which will convert to Word or WordPerfect and most other word processing programs, regardless of whether you are using a PC or Mac.

Follow the instructions at the top of the document and check the appropriate boxes. If you are under a time pressure be sure to note the date by which you need to have a response, although it may be best to try to email your request if you need an immediate response.

Be sure to keep a copy of your request for your records. Also be aware that it may take anywhere from two to six weeks to hear back from the publisher.
