I studied abroad for the first time as a freshman to Ecuador on a faculty-led Spanish language program. From that moment, I was hooked and ended up studying abroad twice more as an undergraduate and once as a graduate student! As a sophomore, I spent a semester at the University of Salamanca taking classes in Spanish language and culture. After my junior year, I participated in another faculty-led program where I studied Intercultural Communication in New Zealand and Australia. I received my Bachelors degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Spanish from Eastern Illinois University (EIU). I received my M.S. in College Student Affairs from EIU where I worked as a graduate assistant in the Office of Education Abroad and completed one of my internships at the University of Hyderabad in India. Before coming to K-State I served as a volunteer with the US Peace Corps in Guatemala. Upon completing my service, I traveled through Central America for three months. I love working with K-State students to help them find the study abroad program that is right for them!
