ACT Test Center
Kansas State University serves as an ACT Center Testing Site as part of a
partnership with ACT Inc. Examinees selecting the KSU Test Center are
advised to contact the ACT Call Center at 1-800-205-6366 for details about
scheduling. Examinees should visit the link below for directions and instructions for weekday parking at the ACT Test Center.
Credit by exam
Kansas State University offers students a variety of credit-by-examination opportunities through which a student may earn academic credit in specific courses. The Academic Assistance Center is the campus service agency for the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), DSST, and Excelsior College Exams. Other Credit By Exam opportunities
Students with previous education or experience can gain credit for many K-State courses through locally constructed examinations. To qualify, students must be currently enrolled at K-State and receive permission from the head of the department in which the course is offered. Contact the appropriate department head for more information.
Entrance and professional exams
The Academic Assistance Center administers the following exams, which are often required to enter selected undergraduate, graduate, or professional programs.

- Engineering and Land Surveying Examination Services
- Graduate Record Examination (subject exams only)
- Law School Admission Test
- Miller Analogies Test
- Pharmacy College Admission Test
- Praxis Series Assessment
- Scholastic Aptitude Test
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
American College Test (ACT) residual exam
An on-campus or residual testing program is available for enrolled, admitted, or prospective K-State students who were unable to test on a national test date. Residual ACT results are reported only to the student and to the K-State admissions office. Scores are not transferable to other institutions. The residual exam may be taken by appointment on Monday–Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Academic Assistance Center. There is an exam fee of $36.
Proctored exams
Correspondence course and other non-K-State exams can be proctored in the Academic Assistance Center for a $20 fee.
