Math Courses

Math Placement

All incoming students are required to take a Math Placement assessment. After testing for algebra and/or calculus courses, students should consult with their academic advisor about enrolling in a math course.

Intermediate Algebra

MATH 010 Intermediate Algebra is a preparatory course for MATH 100 College Algebra. To enroll in the course, work with your academic advisor.

The course includes:

  • Arithmetic (signed numbers, polynomials, algebraic fractions, exponents, and roots)
  • Solutions to equations (linear, quadratic, polynomial, root, and fractional)
  • Graphs (linear and quadratic)
  • Geometry (area, perimeter, and the Pythagorean Theorem)
