Be familiar with iSIS
Learn to navigate your iSIS account. You can find a lot of academic information from it. For example, let's say you don't know who your academic advisor is and how to contact him/her. This is what you do.
1. Go to K-State main page - http://www.k-state.edu/
2. Login to iSIS.
3. Enter Student Center.
4. Your advisor's name should be showing under Advisor section. You can click on his/her name to e-mail her or you can find her from K-State main page.
5. Copy and paste your advisor's name into the search box .
6. Be sure to click on People. Now you have found your advisor and his/her contact information.
7. Remember that your advisor may have to take care a lot of students and sometimes you may have a hard time reaching your advisor through phone or e-mail. It is always a good idea to call your department to find out what is the best way to reach your advisor.

http://www.k-state.edu/directories/academic.html*** Most likely, you will find your department set up appointments for advisors. All you have to do is to call or visit your department to set up an appointment with your advisor.
