Academic Intervention Program

The Academic Achievement Center is committed to helping students reach their personal career goals and academic success. The Academic Intervention Program (AIP) requires the participation of students who have been placed on academic warning. The program is tailored to provide support, mentoring, and advocacy for our multicultural pool of students. We help guide the success of students from traditionally underrepresented populations, and success of all students who value equity, inclusion and diversity. 

Participation in the program includes but is not limited to the following:

Individualized coaching sessions, topics covered include

  • Smart Goal setting
  • Time management skills
  • Study skills
  • Test Taking skills
  • Campus Resources

Guidance toward one or more of the following campus resources

  • Career Center
  • Writing Center
  • Counseling services
  • Access Center
  • Tutoring Services

Optional participation in one or more student development opportunities

  • Student organizations
  • Study abroad office
  • Financial Planning
  • Volunteer work
