Agenda:

I. Call to Order- Emily called the meeting to order at 7:00. We began by playing a game called Common Threads. Members in attendance were Kara Alere, Serenia Cook, Missy Good, Adria Johnson, Kendra Newquist, Krista Nichols, Aaron Pflughoft, Katie Pinkall, Kaci Starr, Emily Tharp, and advisors Michelle Haupt and Sondra Huey.

II. Officer Reports:
President: Emily reported that there is a Kansas Region Honors Institute conference for PTK members on Nov. 8-9 in Wichita. The theme is Healthstock 2002. If you are interested, let Emily know ASAP. The registration deadline
is Monday Oct. 28th.

Vice President: Krista had nothing new to report at this time.

Treasurer: Katie suggested we make a deadline for dues. It was decided that the $5 dues are due at our next meeting. Also, we have $259.74 in our account.

Information Coordinator: Aaron had nothing to report at this time.

Advisor(s): Sondra reported that the community college conference is Oct.28th. If you are interested in helping, let Sondra know as soon as possible. She also reported that the transfer workshop was a success and PTK members Kendra Newquist and Adi Foster volunteered. Big thanks to them.

III. Old Business- We still do not have a t-shirt design. Designs are due at our next meeting. There is a college night at the Topeka Scarecrows hockey game on Friday Nov. 8th. Due to homecoming being the same weekend, we decided to look at a possible date to go some time in the spring. Emily attended a informational meeting about the Bramlage Clean-up fundraiser. She suggested we join the H.Y.P.E. organization with this fundraiser due to the small
numbers of each of our groups. It was voted on and passed that we join them and the money we make will be split proportionatly as the number of people from each group. Krista reported that the volunteers for the Spooktacular
events at Sunset Zoo need to meet at the Union at 11:30 on Sunday the 27th (we will carpool to the zoo). We need about 15 volunteers from 12-4, so if you are free come help out. It is suggested that you wear a kid friendly costume.

III. New Buisiness- It was voted and passed that we purchase film so pictures could be taken at our events for a possible scrapbook. The regional offices are selling PTK polo shirts and hats. If you are interested, contact Emily.

IV. Adjournment- On Monday Novemer 18th , we are going to go bowling in the union at 8:00 and have an informal meeting. So be sure to come out and have some fun.

Katie Pinkall
