III. Officer Reports
President- Dues are $5, and you may give them to Katie whenever convenient.

Vice President- Krista had nothing to report at this time.

Treasurer- We have 258.51 dollars in our account.

Information Coordinator- Aaron reminded anyone who is not getting emails to let him know and he will take care of it.

Advisor- Michelle reported that the times that help was needed for the Transfer Workshop panel on Oct. 14th was 11:20-12:00 and 1:20-2:00. Help is also needed for the Community College Conference on Oct. 28th from 11:45-12:45. If you can help please contact Sondra at sondrah@ksu.edu by Oct. 21st.

IV. Old Business- Emily reported that the price for a Phi Theta Kappa t-shirt would be about $7.21 plus tax. If anyone is interested in creating a design, you can submit it at our next meeting. She is also still looking into the Bramlage clean-up for a fundraiser.

V. New Business- We discussed setting up a booth for the Fright Night festivities but decided it was not in our time frame. Krista reported about various service projects we could do. The Boys and Girls Club is putting on a leadership program and the Manhattan Emergency Shelter could use help decorating for Christmas, donation mailings, or clean-up help on weekday afternoons. She also said that Sunset Zoo is looking for volunteers on the weekend of Oct. 26 and 27 to help out with Halloween activities. We decided to help out on Sunday the 27th from 12-4. Krista will let us know at the next meeting whether we need to dress up in Halloween costumes. Anyone interested is welcome to come. Next Emily reported on information she received about participating in homecoming. We decided this too would require more time than we have. Emily will also check on dates for us to take a group trip to a Topeka Scarecrows Game. Lastly, Krista proposed that we move our meetings from the Union to somewhere else, possibly Java. She will check on that possibility. She also requested we not read the minutes at the meetings and just post them online.

IV. Adjournment- Krista moved we adjourn the meeting and Adria seconded it. Our next meeting is Tuesday October 22, 2002. The room will be emailed once it is reserved. Hope to see you there!
