Student Union 209

We met in the Union at 7:00 on April 9th. Members who attended this meeting were: Kara Alere, Matthew Daniel, Alisha Kellogg, Kendra Newquist, Krista Nichols, Katie Pinkall, Lisse Regehr, Emily Tharp, and advisor Michelle Haupt.

Due to David's absence, Michelle ran this meeting. She first discussed our website. She indicated that she is currently working with someone from the Admissions office to get our website updated. We are encouraging all of you to go to our website, view it, and make any suggestions to us that you may have to better it. The website address is www.ksu.edu/Phi_Theta_Kappa. You can send website suggestions to ptk@ksu.edu

Michelle reminded everyone about the upcoming Transfer Student Workshop on April 22 and 23. Those of you who have signed up to help with either of those days need to be there (Union Forum Hall) by 7:45am in order to have our table set up by 8:00am. To all members: Please let Michelle know if you would be interested in helping to design a Phi Theta Kappa flyer for this event!!

We then discussed our End-of-the-Year Social. Katie reported back to the group about her investigation of Tuttle Creek shelter reservations. She said that it costs $25 to reserve a shelter and $5/car, except for the ones right off of the highway, which are free for cars. The motion carried that we will reserve a shelter (one which is free for parking) at Tuttle Creek for our Social on April 30th. More information will be sent out via e-mail regarding what types of food people should volunteer to bring.

We then closed the meeting by holding elections for next year's officers. As a majority vote from all who attended, the election results are as follows: President: Emily Tharp, Vice President: Krista Nichols, Secretary/Treasurer: Katie Pinkall, Membership Coordinator: Aaron Pflughoft.

Hope to see you all at our Social at Tuttle Creek on April 30th!

Secretary,

Alisha Kellogg
