During the summer 2012, the President and Provost requested additional faculty salary analysis data based on the Faculty Salary Survey by Discipline, a special project directed by Oklahoma State University's Office of Institutional Research and Information Management (OSU-IRIM) for further evaluating K-State's competitive compensation in comparison to our peer institutions.
A multi-year faculty compensation improvement plan is being developed as an important next step for achieving competitive compensation for our faculty and staff.

K-State Olathe continues to evolve as a critical component to reach our visionary goal to become a top 50 public research university by 2025.
To continue to build the highly talented and diverse workforce envisioned in K-State 2025, we need effective, efficient, timely, and fair recruitment and hiring practices and procedures.
Ron Trewyn, vice president for research, has appointed a 2025 Research Themes Committee to identify ten to twelve university strategic research foci which will be refined to five to seven key themes.
